Research work

Our main goal is to improve the treatment of brain tumours through a better understanding of molecular and cellular mechanisms of tumorigenesis, tumor progression and resistance to treatment. We are interested to decipher how the cell of origin transforms to a tumor proliferation, how this proliferation reshapes the surrounding normal brain parenchyma and elicits an immune response, and how intratumoral heterogeneity evolves during progression and treatment. We expect that a better diagnostic classification, a better evaluation of prognosis and therapeutic response, and the identification of new therapeutic targets, will pave the way for a progress in the fight against brain tumours.
