Biography

Mentor(s) in PICNIC : Benjamin Rohaut

After completing her master degree in cognitive science, Camille worked in the behavioral science unit of a French interministerial directorate where she applied knowledge and methods from cognitive science to public policies, sharing behavioral insights with public decision-makers.

Camille is currently involved in the PICNIC lab, where she works as a Haute Autorité de Santé PhD candidate on exploring and supporting medical decision-making. She also takes part in various science popularization activities related to critical thinking (especially within Chiasma: https://www.chiasma.co/).

Research work

Camille focuses in her PhD on the role and impact of several cognitive mechanisms (heuristics, cognitive biases and confidence levels) on processes of decision-making under uncertainty in the medical context. The aim of her project is not only to develop a better understanding of these aspects, but also to elaborate solutions in order to optimize medical decision-making outcomes.
