Our proposal headed by Dr Bertrand Fontaine, Scientific director of the Institut du Cerveau – ICM, was chosen as one of only six national Instituts Hospitalo-Universitaires.
The Institut has been chosen as a centre of excellence and will receive a financement of 55 million € to develop translational research in the Neurosciences. Links existing between the clinic, the lab-bench and industry will be enhanced to search for new diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic products and procedures.
The award of an Institut Hospitalo-Universitaire reflects the strong links between teaching, research and the clinic. It is supported by the Institut du Cerveau – ICM, by the AP-HP, the CNRS, the IFRAD, the INSERM and the UPMC.
