International University Hospital Institutes(UHI) Day was held on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at the Institut du Cerveau – ICM.

Six University Hospital Institutes(UHI) were created in 2012 through the Future Investments Programme (FIP). UHI associate world-famous medical and scientific teams, around a structuring project, combining research, care, training and development, in a dedicated therapeutic area.

Among these six Institutes, the UHI-A-Institut du Cerveau – ICM‘s mission is to lead a project of excellence in research on diseases of the nervous system.

International UHI Day, which gathered together François Hollande, Marisol Touraine, Minister of Social Affairs, Health and women’s Rights, and Thierry Mandon, Secretary of State in charge of Higher Education and Research, has been the occasion to present the projects developed by each Institute, and to consider future prospects.

On this occasion, the President of the Republic, the Minister of Social Affairs, Health and women’s Rights and the Secretary of State in charge of Higher Education and Research have also met the Institut du Cerveau – ICM leaders, and four researchers to discuss the Institute’s innovative ecosystem, and its ability to accelerate discoveries.
