Inaugural French Day for Frontotemporal Dementias

On the occasion of the World FTD Awareness Week, the association France-DT, the national center of reference for rare dementias, the IM2A, the Institut du Cerveau – ICM, and the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital are organizing the inaugural French day dedicated to frontotemporal dementias (FTD), which affect around 10,000 people in France.

The day seeks to connect affected individuals, their support network, caregivers, students, and health professionals interested by rare pathologies that affect people in the prime of their life.

Specialists in these pathologies, including patient associations, clinicians, and health care workers, are being brought together to provide the maximum amount of information possible on the health system in France, care of patients and family members, health care workers, and research advances.

This meeting also allows for sharing experiences thanks to workshops and discussions.

This day takes place at the Center of Refereence for Rare Dementias at the IM2A, Pinel room, at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital from 9:45 to 16:30. Find the event program on line. Please contact the France-FTD association to register, registration is mandatory.
